3000 Palestinians trapped at border by Israeli Army
For two weeks now, the Israeli Defence Force (IDF) has prevented around three thousand Palestinian residents from returning to their homes in the Occupied Gaza
Strip. By closing the border with Egypt at Rafah, the IDF is forcing children, patients, pregnant women and the elderly to stay at the border with no shelter and little in the way of food or sustenance. They are holding them in limbo without any clear reason.
Holding these Gaza residents prisoners is collective punishment and is a blatant violation of the most basic human rights. In a mockery of the urgency of the situation, the Israeli High court gave the IDF thirty days to respond to a petition from Israeli and
Palestinians human rights groups demanding that the crossing point be re-opened immediately.
European Jews for a Just Peace (EJJP *) expects that European citizens will share their outrage at these latest restrictions added to the plight of the Palestinians living under military repression and occupation. We require that European Governments and the EU should demand that Israel re-opens the border at Rafah without further delay.

3000 Palästinenser durch die Israelische Armee an der Grenze festgesetzt
Seit zwei Wochen verhindern die israelischen Streitkräfte (Israeli Defence Forces - IDF)die Rückkehr von ca. drei Tausend palästinensischen Einwohnern in ihre Häuser im besetzten Gaza Streifen. Durch die Schließung der Grenze zwischen Ägypten und Rafah werden Kinder, Patienten, Schwangere und Alte von den israelischen Streitkräften gezwungen, ohne Obdach, Nahrungs- und Lebensmittel an der Grenze auszuharren. Sie hängen grundlos in der Luft. Ihre Festsetzung wie Gefangene kommt abermals einer Kollektivbestrafung gleich und ist eine grobe Verletzung der elementaren Menschenrechte.
In Verhöhnung der Dringlichkeit der Situation gewährte der israelische Gerichtshof den Streitkräften eine einmonatige Frist (30 Tage) für die Stellungnahme zu einer Eingabe, in der palästinensische und israelische Menschenrechtsgruppen die sofortige Öffnung der Übergänge fordern.
Wir, die Mitglieder des Netzwerks European Jews for a Just Peace (EJJP *) erwarten, dass die Bürger Europas unsere Empörung über diese jüngsten Einschränkungen der Grund- und Menschenrechte teilen, die die Not nur noch verschärfen, die Palästinenser unter der militärischen Unterdrückung und Besatzung ohnehin erleiden.
Wir verlangen, dass die europäischen Regierungen und die EU Israel dringend auffordern, die Grenze bei Rafah unmittelbar zu öffnen.

3000 PALESTINIESI INTRAPPOLATI AL CONFINE DALL’ESERCITO ISRAELIANO
Da ormai due settimane l’esercito israeliano (IDF) ha impedito a circa tremila palestinesi di tornare alle loro case nella striscia di Gaza occupata. Per mezzo della chiusura del confine con l’Egitto a Rafah, l’IDF sta costringendo bambini, ammalati, donne in stato di gravidanza ed anziani a rimanere al confine, senza riparto e con grande scarsità di cibo e mezzi di sussistenza. Li stanno tenendo in un limbo senza alcuna comprensibile ragione.
Bloccare questi residenti di Gaza è una punizione collettiva ed è una flagrante violazioni dei più elementari diritti umani. Beffandosi di fatto dell’urgenza della situazione, la Corte Suprema israeliana ha dato all’IDF trenta giorni per rispondere ad una petizione presentata da associazioni israeliane e palestinesi per i diritti umani che chiede la riapertura immediata del confine.
Noi, Ebrei Europei per una Pace Giusta (EJJP *), chiediamo che i cittadini europei condividano la nostra indignazione per queste nuove restrizioni che aggravano ulteriormente la situazione dei palestinesi che subiscono repressione ed occupazione militare. Chiediamo che i governi europei e l’Unione Europea si adoperino con decisione affinché Israele riapra il confine di Rafah senza ulteriore indugio.

3000 Palestiniens bloqués à la frontière (sud de la bande de Gaza, ndt) par l’armée israélienne
Depuis deux semaines, les forces de défense israélienne (FDI) ont empêché près de 3000 Palestiniens de rentrer chez eux dans la Bande de Gaza occupée. En fermant la frontière avec l’Egypte, à Rafah, les FDI obligent les enfants, les malades, les femmes enceintes et les personnes âgées à rester à la frontière sans abri et avec un minimum pour se nourrir ou se sustenter. Ils les maintiennent ainsi dans l’indifférence et sans raison définie.
Emprisonner ainsi des habitants de Gaza constitue une punition collective et une grave violation des droits de l’Homme les plus basiques. Indifférente face à l’urgence de la situation, la cour suprême israélienne a donné aux FDI 30 jours pour répondre à une pétition déposée par des organisations israéliennes et palestiniennes des droits de l’Homme demandant la réouverture immédiate du point de passage.
Le réseau Juifs européens pour une paix juste attend des citoyens européens qu’ils partagent leur indignation face à ces restrictions, qui s’ajoutent aux conditions de vie désastreuses des Palestiniens qui subissent la répression et l’occupation militaires.
Nous exigeons des gouvernements européens et de l’Union européenne qu’ils demandent à Israël de ré-ouvrir la frontière de Rafah dans les plus brefs délais.
